Cable lines are lines that use cables to transmit electrical energy. They are mainly composed of the cable itself, joints, terminals, etc. Cable line projects generally also have ancillary projects, such as cable trenches, drainage pipes, shafts, cable tunnels, etc.
Wire and cable refers to an electronic device used to transmit power, signals or data. There are many types of wires and cables depending on their purpose and structure.
1. Single-core cable
Single-core cable consists of a center conductor and insulation layer and is commonly used for wire transmission in residential and commercial buildings.
2. Multi-strand cable
Multi-strand cable is composed of many small strands, each with an insulating layer. Commonly used where flexibility and wear resistance are required.
3. PVC insulated wire
Pvc insulated wire consists of metal wires wrapped with plastic insulating material and is widely used in low-voltage electrical systems.
4. Aluminum cable
Covered line wire-aluminum conductor is mainly composed of aluminum conductor and insulation layer.
In addition to the common types of wires and cables mentioned above, there are also some special-purpose wires and cables, such as fire-resistant cables, impact-resistant cables, etc. According to the use environment and needs, it is very important to select the appropriate type of wires and cables to ensure safe and reliable transmission of power and signals.
Where are cable lines mainly used?
1. According to urban planning, prosperous areas, important locations, main roads, high-rise building areas and places with special requirements for city appearance and environment;
2. Overhead lines cannot solve the circuit transmission in the corridor;
3. High power supply reliability or important load users;
4. Important power supply areas in coastal areas of major cities that are vulnerable to tropical storms;
5. Downtown areas with high load density.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of cable lines compared to power lines?
Advantage:
1. Not disturbed by natural meteorological conditions;
2. Not affected by the growth of eyeliner trees;
3. Beautify the urban environment;
4. It does not occupy ground corridors, and the same underground passage can accommodate multiple lines;
5. Helps prevent electric shock and ensure safe use of electricity;
6. Low maintenance cost.
Shortcoming:
1. For the same conductor interface, the transmission current is smaller than that of overhead lines;
2. As the voltage increases, investment and construction costs will also increase;
3. Fault repair takes a long time.
