2. Overhead lines cannot solve the circuit transmission in the corridor;

3. High power supply reliability or important load users;

4. Important power supply areas in coastal areas of major cities that are vulnerable to tropical storms;

5. Downtown areas with high load density.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of cable lines compared to power lines?

 

Advantage:

1. Not disturbed by natural meteorological conditions;

2. Not affected by the growth of eyeliner trees;

3. Beautify the urban environment;

4. It does not occupy ground corridors, and the same underground passage can accommodate multiple lines;

5. Helps prevent electric shock and ensure safe use of electricity;

6. Low maintenance cost.


Shortcoming:


1. For the same conductor interface, the transmission current is smaller than that of overhead lines;

2. As the voltage increases, investment and construction costs will also increase;

3. Fault repair takes a long time.
